About Free PDF Converter

Free PDF Converter helps you convert images, PDFs, text files, Word documents, Excel workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, HTML pages, and SVG graphics between common formats. It also includes multilingual OCR for extracting text from scanned PDF pages in many languages. Select a conversion type, upload a file, and process it in one workspace.

Images to PDF combines multiple JPG, PNG, or WebP images into one PDF. PDF to JPG and PDF to PNG render each page as an image. PDF to TXT, Word, Excel, and HTML extract available text; PDF to PowerPoint creates slides from page images, and PDF to SVG wraps rendered page images. Reverse conversions create a PDF from TXT, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, HTML, or SVG files. Text-based conversions may not preserve the original layout, tables, fonts, or editable objects exactly.

Files are processed in your browser with conversion libraries loaded from CDNs; the page code does not upload selected files to a conversion server. Use PDF OCR to TXT for scanned pages that do not contain selectable text. DOCX, XLSX, HTML, and common PPTX elements are rendered as faithfully as practical in the browser, but advanced fonts, charts, animations, macros, embedded objects, and complex layouts may vary. OCR accuracy depends on scan quality, page rotation, handwriting, and the selected language. Large documents can use significant device memory and processing time. Review converted files before sharing, editing, or printing.

How to Use Free PDF Converter

  1. Choose the output format from the Conversion Type menu.
  2. Click the upload area or drag and drop supported files into it.
  3. Select the file type required by your chosen mode: images, PDF, TXT, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, HTML, or SVG.
  4. Check the selected file and make sure it is the document you want to convert.
  5. Click the conversion button and wait while the pages are processed.
  6. Save the downloaded file. Review text-based conversions because complex layouts and scanned pages may not convert perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I combine multiple images into one PDF?

Yes. Select Images to PDF and add multiple JPG, PNG, or WebP images. The converter places each image on a separate PDF page.

Can I convert PDF to Word or Excel?

Yes. The tool extracts selectable PDF text into DOCX or XLSX files. PDF text extraction cannot reliably reconstruct every original column, table, or page layout.

Can I convert a PDF to PowerPoint or SVG?

Yes. These options preserve each page's appearance as a rendered image. Text and graphic elements may not be separately editable.

Will scanned PDFs convert to text?

Yes. Choose PDF OCR to TXT and select the language used in the scan. OCR accuracy depends on scan quality and the selected language.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

The page code processes files in your browser. Conversion libraries load from CDNs, but selected files are not sent to a conversion server by this tool.
